30th October - 100 years on. "The First World War: Myth and Reality"
A talk by Kevin Eady will seek to demonstrate how the war was not the uniformly popular war it is usually depicted to have been, that it was fought with few clear aims by most of the participants, that it achieved nothing worthwhile and that it helped prepare the ground for the Second World War and other similarly disastrous conflicts.
This is supported by the Tavistock Peace Action Group.
6th November - A film talk by Mo Wills entitled: Gods, Goddesses and the Role of Gender in Divine Evolution alongside.
Mo currently works as a minister in Local Appointment in West Cornwall her full-time occupation in Homeless Prevention for a Cornish Charity. She is passionate about making Progressive Christianity become a more visible presence within mainline churches and promoting resources which help people find a more open, inclusive and undogmatic way to be Christian.

Tony and and his Marilyn began ministry life in the Salvation College for Officers and in 1979 founded Church of the Nations. From that first church plant, Church of the Nations is now influencing more than 50 nations.

Tony loves bringing a message and ministry on the Father Heart of God. This revelation of the Father's heart is being widely recognised as having great importance within the church as a whole, establishing believers securely in their true identity in Christ so that they can live out lives of purpose and destiny, fully alive in Christ and fully engaged with sharing the Father's love throughout their families, communities and places of work.

Service of Healing and Wholeness
at St Eustachius

A joint service with Tavistock Methodist Church most third Sundays of the month at 6pm at St Eustachius, Tavistock.
Time for prayers, songs, music, breaking of bread, anointing and laying on of hands, or just come and meditate for yourself or on behalf of another.
